Production Wraps for Aaron Vanderkley, Trekzone.org, 2019.
This film features a number of cameos from previous instalments, as the events take place during the year that LINE OF DUTY is set. From NEEDS OF THE MANY; the ill-fated NX-06 Endeavour is the ship that Charlie transfers to and its crew is rescued by Challenger. Among the survivors is Ben, played by Aaron Vanderkley. From THE DERELICT; the NX-03 Challenger is the ship heavily featured in this story alongside members of the crew including Fletcher played by Jessica Niven and O'Dell (in voiceover) played by Zach Clifford. From GOOD MEN; Tajor (played by Frank Humphreys) is a prisoner with Hero and Charlie. The prison is most likely located in the same place as the marketplace from that story. From THE FALL OF STARBASE ONE; Hero has resigned to a teaching position on the colony world and Challenger detects the beginning of the subspace transmission that the characters fail to send successfully.
Hero has a dufflebag branded with a NX-03 Challenger mission patch.
A handheld camera is also seen in the STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE story 'Strange New Worlds'.
The Captain has a small statue of Zefram Cochrane on his desk, and a 'ships of the line' displaying previous incarnations of Challenger in his Ready Room.
The 1940s Milice costumes were recycled from another fan film project called 'DOCTOR WHO: RESISTANCE'. French Resistance actor Andrew Kocsis also played a similar character in that film.
Aside from Tajor and the nameless Klingon, a popular species first seen in STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES, also in the prison was an Andorian, the 'O'Raul' leader from the first contact scene, a MACO Solider, a Vulcan and an Earth Cargo Service crew member - all costumes from previous films.
Hero and the Klingon have a duel with a Bat'leth, a bladed weapon first scene in STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION.
Like Enteprise, NX-03 Challenger cannot sustain Warp 5.2 for long periods.
